Our farmers deserve more than the cheapest bidder.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
While New Yorkers are spending more on food, farmers are getting less. Our farmers deserve fair prices and opportunities to feed the communities around them.
THE PATH FORWARD
Good Food NY would allow local governments to consider local sourcing and other community values when buying food. That could open more opportunities for New York farmers to supply our schools and other public institutions.

Yes, I will speak up on behalf of farmers who are currently shut out from institutional markets due to the lowest-bidder mandate. Urge Gov Hochul to sign #GoodFoodNY into law.

Speak up on behalf of the many communities who will benefit from Good Food NY—and the millions of New Yorkers they feed.
Behind every public meal are people who grow, harvest, process, pack, transport, prepare, and serve our food, each with a stake in how our public food dollars are spent.
